Atmospheric extinction is only applicable when the solar eclipse is low on the horizon (under 15 degrees). The calculation used is based on a simplified model that does not account for all the variables that may exist. The output is merely a suggested starting point.
RS = Solar Radii
1 No tracking mount exposure limit. 2 Applied to corona and diamond ring. 3 Applied to prominence, chromosphere, and partial exposures. 4 The amount of corona to show for the diamond ring effect is a matter of taste.
