An Unprecedented Opportunity to Join Our TSE 2010 Eclipse Charter Flight

Centrally Intercepting the Moon's Shadow from
2500 km East of Tahiti, French Polynesia

Rick at Victoria FallsI'm Rick Brown and I'm an eclipse chaser. Years ago I started arranging for my friends to join me on eclipse chases and things kept growing as my circle of eclipse chasing friends continued to grow. So here we go again...

Blue has always been my favorite color. When I was a boy, I remember often driving past Idlewild Airport, now JFK. There was a taxiway that went along side the Belt Parkway, and I became fascinated with the blue taxi lights. I think that is one of the reasons I chose to get my pilots license when I grew up.

As the plans became firm for this historic project, discussed here, I decided to make the site inspection to French Polynesia. After arriving at the hotel, I walked out to the beach, looked out to the water, and literally stopped dead in my tracks. I became mesmerized at the sight of the ocean. I have never seen so many shades of blue… ever. The water was so clear that I wanted to drink it…. And nothing but blue. Blue sky, blue water… 5 different shades of it, from indigo beyond the reef, to iceberg, crystal clear blue in the breaking waves. Then, aqua, more sky blue, green and then clear at the beach. Fish in shallow water…thousands of them expecting that I would feed them. I have traveled to many places. I have found the most beautiful place on Earth.

The fact that this area of beauty, which few ever get to see, will also be gifted with a Total Solar Eclipse is truly astounding. Nature has presented itself in such a manner that will never be duplicated again in our lifetimes.

Our plan for this upcoming July 11th Total Solar Eclipse has been in the works for well over a year. I can only apologize for it taking so long to offer it, but it was only days ago that we got the AOK on the final detail of this project… that being our very own specially chartered Airbus 319CJ/LR aircraft to view the eclipse from 39,000 feet above the Pacific to see aprox. 9 and a half minutes of totality. This EFLIGHT will be a historic flight, offering 41 lucky participants the opportunity of the ECLIPSE TRIP of a lifetime.

In order to get this information up on the web as quickly as possible, I have been brief in many of the descriptions. This site will be updated with additional info/photos/facts shortly.
