GENERAL INFORMATION…
WEATHER…expect 85-90(F) degrees during the day, and 65-70’s in the evenings. Expect relatively high humidity as well… and in case you wonder, as the photos show, THERE ARE CLEAR, BLUE SKIES IN CHINA.
DRESS...Very casual. I will be wearing shorts almost all the time, including the evenings.
Electricity…220v with a 3 pronged socket unlike America. EVERY place we spend will have US sockets for low voltage items, such as computers, razors, battery chargers etc.
Hair Dryers…will be supplied at every location we stay.
Internet…High speed internet is available (wired and wireless depending on location) either included, or at a charge of about $10.00US per 24 Hours. THE INTERNET ON THE CRUISE IS SLOW, LIMITED, AND ONLY WITH THE LAPTOPS IN THE BUSINESS CENTER. DO NOT PLAN ON RELIABLE INTERNET SERVICE ON THE CRUISE.
Money…the Chinese money is the RMB, the abbreviation for The Peoples Money, also called the YUEN (youEN). Current exchange rate is about 6.7 to 1 US$.
Food…Breakfast at the hotels are full buffet breakfasts, with everything you can possibly want… cereals, grains, eggs, even traditional Chinese items. Lunches will be more traditional Chinese fare, with fish, chicken, beef, pork, lots of Chinese veggies. Dinners have many choices available. Vegetarians will NOT have any problems on this tour.
Trip Insurance…not available through me.
Cancellation Policy…Cancellation fees at this point are $1750, and will increase on April 10th to 100%.
DEPOSITS…100% payment is due upon confirmation of your request to join the tour, and space is now LIMITED.
