Cloud running - having transport available is both a good and bad thing. It is good when you can move to a location well before the eclipse starts and the weather is perfect. It can be bad when you have a group (no matter how small or large) that fears every single small cloud and wants to move around too much in the minutes before the eclipse gets underway.
Some eclipse chasers take extra precautions and will hire a charter to drive or fly them to another location on a contingency basis. That is, the services are reserved and then cancelled if not needed. It would not be a surprise to learn that at least one or more of these service providers has double booked during the eclipse.
