Cartographic work by Michael Zeiler, ESRI

These maps were prepared by Michael Zeiler of ESRI using a high level CAD/GIS (Computer Aided Drawing / Graphic Information System) with data provided by multiple eclipse chasers. Click on the map name you are interested in to download, view, and print the PDF file. These files print beautifully on regular notebook sized paper and show the eclipse path at regular intervals of duration against the general terrain highlighting major towns, cities, and highways.

The details about the data used to prepare these maps can be found in the titles of each map. This was a group effort pulled together at the last second and managed by Michael Zeiler at ESRI. If you want to make cool maps like these, check out their web site.

To download a map file, press the "right click" button and pick "Save as" or "Download" option. To view/print a print a map just select it.

Regional maps are 1-3mb in size and are for larger plots (44x34in). All other maps are 100-200kb in size and designed for a normal color printer.
