Turkana cloud pin holes This pair of photos was taken from the air over Lake Turkana Kenya on Nov 4, 2013. When the eclipse viewing on the ground was precluded by a sudden sandstorm our group took the air making it above the clouds with seconds to spare to see it at 10,000 feet. On the way up the sun formed giant pin holes by radiating through the cloud cover with the pin holes visible on the lake surface producing a giant scale and unusual eclipse pin hole crescents.
